You probably haven't logged in with the correct account credentials.

Check your account number, account password and broker/server.

Check the MT4/5 >> Terminal/Toolbox window >> Journal tab for connection messages.

Check the connection bars in the bottom right corner of the MT4/5 terminal.

    1. According to IBFX, open market watch (Control+M) drag the symbol to the chart. Init() probably would fire.

    2. On some brokers demo accounts expire after several weeks, need to reopen periodically.

    3. Try closing the terminal and delete «data folder»\..\config\terminal.ini You'll lose the placement of any open charts.

  3. Otherwise, backup your data, uninstall the terminal, delete the data directory, reinstall.
