MQL5 Ticks stops moving for a few seconds then moves again

Hey guys,


I have recently found out that some of my EAs actually don't work correctly because the Symbol I'm trading on sometimes freezes and stops moving for a few seconds every now and then.

Broker: Clear Demo Account

Symbol: WINM21 (Mini IBOVESPA)

Market: Brazil

I wanted to get some tips to pin down where the issue it's originating from, maybe some monitoring software of some sort.


  • It could my internet connection, but I don't have issues with other latency dependent applications like games and so on, I have ran some speed tests and I don't believe the source of the problem could be from my internet connection
  • I have some other trading platforms that I have placed side by side for comparison and it only happens in MT5 (this issue has happened before the latest updates as well).
