Can I send commands to a running EA?

I have an EA that runs almost everything onTick() and a script that creates a plain text file. A keyboard shortcut launches the script and the EA's onTick routine detects the presence of the file. That is how I tell my EA to execute certain tasks interactively. That is not bad at all, but the execution is always delayed by one tick. Is there another way to issue commands so the action is instantaneous?

TIA

whoowl but the execution is always delayed by one tick. Is there another way …?
Yes, I can think of two, but your previous rudeness put you on my do not help list.

You've done this before and someone deleted your useless, acrimonious replies.

So it seems someone else does not approve your behavior.

I am reporting this to moderation this time. Enough is enough.

Doubtful. Many posts, seemingly randomly, have disappeared. Some from a decade ago that no one was looking at, not just mine. Example Should i use EA builder, EA Generator or Learn to Code EA? - MQL4 programming forum #9
