New York Stock Exchange reopens

"Today, May 26, marks the reopening of the NYSE trading floor, following its temporary closure two months ago in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. This moment comes as we begin working together across America to restart our economy. We are starting cautiously, with new safety measures to limit the strain on the health-care system and the risk to those who work beneath our roof. Now more than ever, we offer our #gratitude to those on the front lines during this historic moment".

Stacey Cunningham, the President of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE)

Stock traders are wearing masks at the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, as the trading floor reopens for the first time since March. In addition to wearing masks, brokers will be restricted to certain sections of the floor to enforce social distancing, the NYSE's president, Stacey Cunningham, said earlier this month. Most employees will continue to work remotely, and anyone entering the building will face health screenings and temperature checks.
