thought i was signing in to my mt4 account but ended up here on mql5?

as always takes me to mql5

  1.  The terminal logs in to your broker. The browser logs in to mql5.com. There is no mql4 to log in on.

  2. Perhaps you mean you wanted to install MT4 (the terminal that runs the MQL4 language) but installed MT5 (the terminal.)

    It has been years since you could download MT4 from Metaquotes. You can only get it from a broker's website.

mql5 is a programming language.
MT4 is a trading platform.

It is impossible to sign in the way to login to MT4 but appear on the mql5 forum.
