why spreads for gold is so high ?
I am looking at bu and sell prices for gold. I am based in Toronto and time is 4:53 . The spread for gold are higher than buy/sell prices. Could someone explain ?

In Market watch , there are 4 columns, symbol, ask, buy , the last column is spread. I believe spread is the amount that broker get for the trade. The spread for XAUUSD is 2934 and it is going up and down but it is so much higher than other spreads.
