Issue: Position was sold but did not reach TP (nor SL) !

Hi,

I have an issue with MT4... I opened a SELL position on GBPUSD with SL and TP and MT4 closed the position 8 pips above TP.

As a result, the trade ended as a loss.

I have attached the trade history and the journal.

Trade number is 44846559, GBPUSD SELL with SL 1.24826 and TP 1.23287

The trade was closed at 1.23346 and the journal says it reached TP !!!

Is this normal ?

A trailing stop usually leads to this behaviour but the wording should say 'stop loss' not 'take profit'. I suggest you speak to your broker.

you need to discuss with your broker.. but bear in mind that if the price and spread was volatile at the time it may have hit your TP but by the time the order then placed in the market the price had changed. 

If 8 pips from TP gives a loss trading your way, then you are probably going to see more issues like this going forward
