Close those charts amd open them once again, or close all the charts and change the account (from your account to any demo account - it is 10 seconds to do), or check your internet connection ...
Because inactive chart = the chart which you did not yet open.

Hi,
My line studies and time frames on my MT4 platform are greyed out and I have no way to activated them. I have only 7 charts open but they still remain in active.
Anyone with a possible solution?
