Checking break of price

Hi,

I’m making an EA that buy or sell if max/min of the last week was broken.

What I do in my other EAs is to check if, for example, the close of the 15min penultimate candle is below the last week max and the close of the last 15min candle is above.

It works for day trade with a high volume stock.

But if there is no negociation in this stock in the last 2 days and now it breaks the last week max?

What is the best method to check these breaks?
