I think I have the same issue.
Given that I already have duplicate trades, how can I determine the positioned opened locally (vs the one opened via the vps copy). I am planning to delete the locally opened positions.
Please advise.
If you use MQL5 VPS, and if you sucessfully migrated everything (if you synchronized) so you can check the VPS journal to be sure about it (it is written on the VPS journal).
If yes so you can switch your Metatrader to be off, or connect your Metatrader to the other trading account, or close the chart with EA. Besides, Autotrading button should be OFF on your local Metatrader.
To check the trades - go to MQL5 VPS journal/logs to find those trades in the journal (if you found the trades in two VPS logs so those trades are opened using VPS).
