EUR/USD

The U.S. dollar traded higher than most of its peers since yesterday’s trading. It added 0.8 percent against the euro and went up to 1.3283 dollars per euro at 5 pm New York Time. The euro fell against the U.S. dollar by 0.2 percent trading at 1.3255 dollars. The pair lost 0.05 percent in today’s Asian trading and was at 1.3278

USD/JPY

The dollar which has gained against most major currencies, traded lower than the Japanese yen at 93.57 yen. The U.S. dollar Japanese yen pair lost 0.11 percent in today’s Asian trading and was at 93.48. It is expected to find support at 92.23 and resistance at 94.22.

AUD/USD

The Australian dollar declined against most major currencies, after yesterday’s drop which was the biggest one day drop since 4 weeks. It lost 0.2 percent and starting 4:46 pm it fell to 1.0233 dollars. The pair lost 0.17 percent it today’s Asian trading and was at 1.0241

GBP/USD

The British pound U.S. dollar pair gained 0.2 percent in today’s Asian trading and was at 1.5230.

Gold for immediate delivery lost 0.6 percent and at 1:27 pm Singapore time it traded at 1,562.50 dollars an ounce.

Bullion for April delivery on the Comex in New York lost 1.5 percent and traded at 1,554.30 dollars an ounce.

Oil

West Texas Intermediate for April delivery lost 92 cents and as of 2:15 pm Singapore time it traded at 94.49 dollars a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile exchange.

Brent oil for April delivery lost 64 cents and fell to 114.94 dollars a barrel on the London based ICE futures Europe exchange.

EUR/USD

The U.S. dollar is trading high against most of its major peers. The Euro U.S. dollar pair lost 0.04 percent in today’s Asian trading and was at 1.3183 dollars, after going as high as 1.3195.

USD/JPY

The Japanese yen dropped against the U.S. dollar by 0.7 percent and starting 2:34 pm Tokyo time it traded at 94.09 per dollar. The U.S. dollar Japanese yen pair gained 0.85 percent in today’s Asian trading and was at 94.16. It is expected to find support at 92.66 and resistance at 94.54.

AUD/USD

The Australian dollar fell against most other major currencies. It slid 0.4 percent and was at 1.0268 dollar, at 4:59 pm Sydney time.

GBP/USD

The British pound dropped to its lowest since July 2010 against the U.S. dollar. It lost 0.6 percent yesterday in New York and traded at 1.5163 dollars. The British pound U.S. dollar pair lost 0.34 percent in today’s Asian trading and was at 1.5123. It is expected to find support at 1.5074 and resistance at 1.6451.

Gold for immediate delivery as of 1:50 pm Singapore time traded at 1,585.32 dollars an ounce.

In today’s Asian trading Gold Futures for April delivery on the Comex in New York, were at 1,577.80 dollars per troy ounce, up 0.32 percent. They are expected to find support at 1,554.80 and resistance at 1,609.00.

Oil

West Texas Intermediate for April delivery lost 8 cents and it traded from 1:19 pm Singapore time at 93.05 dollars a barrel, in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile exchange.

Brent Oil for April delivery lost 19 cents, and traded at 113.91 dollars a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe exchange.

AUD/USD

The British pound lost against most of the other major currencies, and it fell to its lowest level almost two years and a half against the dollar at 1.5073. It lost 0.3 percent and at 5:20 pm London time it was at 1.5119 dollars. The British Pound U.S. dollar pair gained 0.06 percent in Asian trading and was at 1.5172.
