Can someone remove the vertical lines and extend ( ray ) the horizontal lines

That has been done a numerous times. At the thread that I posted the link to, you will find at least 10 pivot type indicators that can do that and that are using objects for that (the way you described it). Please check that thread and you will find what you need there. Why making the same thing over and over again?
