How liquid is the gold and silver market??

Is it as liquid as EUR/USD,GBP/USD??

What will be the limit(standard lots) before being able to move the market???

Not all forex brokers offer gold and silver, but many now do. If you look at the 5m charts of gold - or XAUUSD (AU is the symbol for gold) and silver - or XAGUSD (AG is the symbol for silver), you'll see that they both seem very liquid. I don't know if they're as liquid as EURUSD but they certainly seem to be a least as liquid as most of the regular pairs and certainly more liquid than more exotic pairs. However, as far as the spread goes, at FX-Pro for instance, silver has a spread of 5 whereas gold has a spread of 50. But then again, gold currently shows a daily average of 2,209 pips...

Hope this helps,

Gold and Silver are liquid only when you melt them

lol @pava. My broker have both and trade them but small lots(10), I'm kinda afraid to shoot 50 stad lots at once and make the thing drop or rice.

Putting aside account requirements and minimum deal sizes you'll find the best liquidity for spot metals trading on EBS Precious Metals.
