henkmathijs:
Hello,

Currently I am using Polyfitscalper v.159 nohedge EA with Alpari UK broker. It's a micro-account with 0,01 lotsize. I use the "newsettings"-set with the martingale component as posted in this forum. The EA is attached to all the pairs as shown by Newdigital in a recent post.

All was working very, very well till last Wednesday 19th January: a very serious drawdown of 92% showed up....wow....

Did anyone experience this kind of drawdown?

And: how can I avoid this in the future: adapt the settings?? Maybe adapt the pairs?

Please give me a helping hand.

I have attached the statements

much obliged

Henk

Select the other settings (see my posts with links).

And do not trade many pairs with this EA: select 1 or 2 pairs which are less volutile. because this kind of EAs are double risky: scalping + martingale. And because of that the deposit should not be small for those kind of the EAs.

Thank you for your answer!

I have been testing this EA on a micro account since November last year. As described in many posts this EA should be a very safe one, especially with the new-settings-set. And by testing it for the last months, it indeed looked that way...a safe and trustworthy EA. One of the very few. I have confidence in this EA.

OK, I will go back to 1 or 2 pairs, raise the deposit, no problem.

Go back to the other settings (moderate-agressive set) with the 1.59 version of Polyfit has left me with big floating losses. Not much to look forward to...

I like the more direct approach of the new-settings.

So; what I want to ask is this : is it possible to change the new-settings-set in a way the stop-loss level is reached earlier. It looks like this EA can wipe any account down with this kind of settings in the long run.

So I would like a more carefull approach: how can I change and reduce the stop-loss level?

Thank you!

It is difficult: EA is scalper and martingale so it is giving some illussions that this EA can be used with small deposit size. But martingale never can be used with small deposit size.

Some pairs are trading with no problem since August last year. Some pairs are not profitable. So, select the pairs (1 or 2).

This EA needs to be improved but I think - it is much more easier to create new EA than to improve this very complicated EA by coding.

So, we need the other EA - non-martingale (based on new indicators created here in advanced elite section). I am forward testing 1 new EA and if it will be sucessfull so I will create the thread and upload it here in advanced elite.

What version should I use?

I'm quite confused. What version is the best (I'm with NordFX broker)? What pairs? And what TF?

Please kindly reply

You can use PolyFitScalper_v1.59_noHedge EA from my last post (and check some other posts of this thread). Because I am forward testing this version with many pairs (porofitable and not) so, at least - you will see the results and can select the pair or 2 for yourself.

And the recommended TF is M1?

Yes, M1. And please note - not all pairs are profitable (there are profitable pairs, there are the losing pairs) so look at my visual statements for the pairs to select.
