Daily Breakout

Hello everyone,

I would like to present the first fully automated daily breakout expert on the RAS site.

Its signal number 1147

The market goes into cycles and these cycles can be detected using

different trading algorithms; Daily breakouts probably one of the best

methods to find cycles in the market

To stay profitable most if not all experts need to be tuned and updated

frequently to be in harmony with current market cycle.

Our expert goes beyond forward or backtests because unlike many experts,

the daily breakout we offer will optimize itself on a DAILY basis for the last x

period of days we chose, then the expert will pick up the best settings

among thousands maybe millions of options not just for entry but also for

exit.

There are at least 3 exit conditions we coded into the expert, and during

optimization the expert will decide which one to use for that day and this is

FULLY automated, the market were not active the pending orders are not

filled and deleted and in few hours the expert will run the optimization again

and wait for another active cycle

So regardless of the market conditions, the expert will be able to handle it.

Soon we will enable the subscription to the signals.

At 4xab.com not only we will offer signals but also we offer programming skill,

experts and indicators and we can we can automate the optimization any

expert.

screen shot taken from our server , showing that we run the expert on a live account on all currency pairs offered by Alpari UK

In the daily breakout setup we don't use any martingale nor we scale trades by adding positions, once a pending order is filled the second is deleted an no more trades will be placed on this pair untill the order is closed , therefore for each currency pair there will be ONE active order at a time or two pending orders

Each day the expert runs the optimization and if there are pending orders they are replaced with the new optimized set file and new orders with new settings are added

This is NOT a scalping setup so the takeprofit in most cases is bigger than the SL however Orders could be closed by stoploss, take profit , time limit , trailing stop

Hello,

which lot size do you suggest on a Alpari Standard Account (with balance of 12.000 €)?

Thanks

Pavement

Hello Pavement ,

If you’re using the daily breakout only on all currency pairs then we can define 3 types of risk depends on the account balance, in all scenarios the risk kept small as its unlikely to have an open trade on all pairs and all trades are negative, even if that happened our settings will not subject the account balance to any big risk.

On the daily breakout we are starting with a lot size of 0.02

*Low risk

For each 5000$ add 0.01 to the lot multiplier

Example :

For account balance < =5000$ the lot multiplier is 1 , this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.02

For account balance < =10,000$ add 0.01 to the a lot multiplier results in a lot multiplier = 1.01, this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.03

For account balance < =15,000$ add 0.01 to the a lot multiplier results in a lot multiplier = 1.03, , this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.04

========

*Medium risk

For each 5000$ add 0.02 to the lot multiplier

Example :

For account balance < =5000$ the lot multiplier is 1 , this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.02

For account balance < =10,000$ add 0.02 to the a lot multiplier results in a lot multiplier = 1.02, this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.04

For account balance < =15,000$ add 0.02 to the a lot multiplier results in a lot multiplier = 1.04, this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.08

===========

*High risk

For each 5000$ add 0.03 to the lot multiplier

Example :

For account balance < =5000$ the lot multiplier is 1 , this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.02

For account balance < =10,000$ add 0.03 to the a lot multiplier results in a lot multiplier = 1.03, , this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.06

For account balance < =15,000$ add 0.03 to the a lot multiplier results in a lot multiplier = 1.06, this means the lot size for each trade should be 0.12

//----------

Now let’s assume the extreme scenario where a trade on each of the 29 pairs offered by Alpari UK was opened and using the maximum risk we suggested on a 12,000$ or 12,000 € you will have 0.06 lot opened on each pair giving a total lot size of 1.74, although its unlikely to happen but even if it did risk is kept small

Risk is a subjective matter therefore clients are free to increase the lot size at their own risk.

We recommend testing the lot multiplier settings for at least a week to get a better understanding of how the setup works.
