Interesting strategy. I visually backtested on EURUSD on Daily charts for a couple of days and it seems to work out properly.
The rules are quite simple so I think it can be coded into an EA.
So how is the sell side handled, or is it?
Thanks for link BP.
I mouched around the short period intraday RSI idea some months back. But the idea came from somewhere else. However as I remember manual backtesting was't as convincing as 85%. .
Anyway from what chrisstoff says, I obviously missed something.
A simple EA to test the concept would be interesting.
I did use RSI>35 and the rest the uppersit.
See the statement
And the 200 sma?
Hi smeden, do you think for the shorts the price should be below the 200 sma? I was just having a quick look at some of your trades.
Yes your right I got a nice win%
I did not add stop loss to it. Only the rules on the forum.
The EA is a mess it is an old system I did redo.
I will post it later when it is cleaned.
I did test on the data I got.Smeden,
Thank you for sharing the results. Your backtest results prove the preliminary statement of the authors of TradingMarkets.com. Well, I would also like to know about the sell side. How did you resolve that?
Regards,
Chrisstoff
I did just do the uppersit from the buy.
And used RSI>35 for sell

Hi, All,
I quite new to this forum and would like assitance in programing this concept
taken from
http://www.tradingmarkets.com/.site/stocks/commentary/editorial/The-Improved-R2-Strategy.cfm
Apparently its 84% accurate when applied to stocks but Iam sure this concept is universal
