I'm really impressed with this EA.
I'm testing it on FXDD with great results.
I would like to try it with Alpari UK too. But they use 5 digits.
Can I use the myPoint function to correct this?
Like described in this thread:

Any help would be much appreciated.Yeah. Anything lost just for test.
Are you using this successfully?
After looking over the statements posted by newdigital, I'm not convinced. What are your experiences with the Trend Envelope EA?

I've been testing this EA for a week. after tweaking the settings and blowing a couple of accounts I've managed to end this week in profit.
I'll post the results here over the weekend.
TrendEnvelopeExpert EA?

As I remember all the versions of this EA are MTF (same as Alpha/Electra/TSD etc). So, it is necessary to be carefully with this kind of the EAs.
I am testing just 1 version only: TrendEnvelopeExpert_v2.2
TrendStrengthExpert_v2 is not MTF EA. Normal one.
By the way I did not test this new TrendStrengthExpert_v2Scalper_2 ... I will try to find the settings for it ... but did not try this TrendStrengthExpert_v2Scalper_2 yet.
My first week results were OK.
I'm testing version 5.3 on most major pairs.
This EA clearly works better in some pairs and not very well on others. It's very consistent and has great win/loss ratio but some losses can be huge, mainly near news events.
I'm not going to draw any conclusions yet, I will run more tests.
The settings were based on Newdigital's settings but I have made some alterations. Slightly safer settings (for my trading style).
I listed below the settings that are different from ND's version:
TakeProfit = 20; //on most pairs
TS_TimeFrame = 240; //TrendStrength indicator using H4 data rather than Monthly
Everything else is set up the same.
These settings seem to work well on Pairs with USD in them.
Here are this weeks results in PIPS (not for the entire week - only 3 days) :
AUDUSD 61
CHFJPY 74
EURCHF -107
EURGBP -158
EURJPY -163
EURUSD 44
GBPCHF 25
GBPJPY -75
GBPUSD 25
NZDUSD 108
USDCAD 66
USDCHF 84
USDJPY -121Hello thecrowl, results look optimistic!
Is there a place I can download version 5.3 to do some testing as well?
Thanks,
Haliban

HalibanHi Haliban,
Sorry I've made a mistake. It's version 2.4 (not 5.3).
All versions are in this post: https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/174793/page2
It seems that it's just an indicator detecting range breakouts, with some filtering...
The result is not bad, though.
I am curious to see daily trading results. Do I need to change anything in the settings or indicators for daily?
Thanks,
Hali
