haDelta multi time frame version with histogram ...

Then here is the mtf version with histogram too It is not difficult when you have spare drawing buffers. If not, then it becomes a game of cutting down everything. In this case no cutting needed, so it could be done fast ....

That's Great !!!

Actually it was too fast !!

Thank You

Thanks & Heiken Ashi Smoothed Question....

Hi,

First post....

Thanks to all and especially Raff & Mladen for their input and efforts on this thread.

I was wondering is it possible to have the HA Smoothed indicator perform a 'what-if' analysis.

Like, 'at what price will the current HA Smoothed bar change color?' And then show that price on the screen with maybe an icon or an arrow pointing to it or something like a horizontal line, similar to the Bid line in MT4.

Is it possible for this indicator to 'know' or make some estimate of that 'change in color' value from the data which it already holds?

From a generic point of view I think that all technical indicators ought to perform some type of 'what-if' analysis in relation their current data plot, either on the chart or inside the separate indicator window. It would seem to make them more useful.

Also is it possible to make the HA Smoothed indicator more translucent? At the moment the price bars are sometimes being covered by the indicator. Would be nice to be able to see through the indicator to observe the price action.

Thanks,

Anguilla.

The problem is the following : heiken ashi smoothed uses 4 prices for calculation. If we take out the open from the equation we are still left with 3 prices that would need to be guessed and after reversing 2 times averaging (any of the 4 types of possible averaging used for smoothing) which leaves us with a problem that is close to unsolvable on a computers that we (the "mere mortals") use

Long term Heiken ashi candles oscillator ..

This is the indicator described in the Jul 2012 issue of TASC in an article "Long-Term Trading Using Exchange Traded Funds" by Sylvain Vervoort. Since it is is using heiken ashi as basic data for its calculations, posting it here.

As the name suggests it it is meant to be used on a longer time frames (the proposed in article is weekly) but one can experiment with it on shorter time frames too. Here are 2 examples : upper is 1 hour time frame and lower is weekly

hacolt_1.gif  25 kb
hacolt.mq4  7 kb

Thank you

This was asked for in Multi Timeframe Indicators section.Added the alerts for when haDelta crosses signal line or crosses zero line.

Mrtools, thank you very much. Much appreciated.

Mladen, thank you for the HACOLT indicator. Seems to be an interesting oscillator although I have not had the chance to read the article in S&C.

Just wondering if this will repaint even if used on higher time frames (D,W,M)?

Thanks code guru.

Hacolt multi time frame ..

It was asked for (to make it multi time frame) so here is the multi time frame hacolt indicator ... Please read the previous post and the original post for some more explanation of this indicator

First of the "repaint even if" : hacolt itself does not repaint in any way

As of multi time frame usage : Higher time frames must obey the multi time frame indicator rules. So, in multi time frame mode it does what each multi time frame indicator does : updates the state of each bar belonging to the higher time frame current bar. Only the closed bar of the higher time frame is not a subject of any change whatsoever

haDelta MTF+alerts -- "true" past data?

mrtools:
This was asked for in Multi Timeframe Indicators section.Added the alerts for when haDelta crosses signal line or crosses zero line.

Hi mrtools and mladen,

The haDelta mtf+alerts indicator plots the typical step values derived from the data of higher TF on the lower TF current chart, like most of the mtf indicators do.

Do we have a version of the haDelta mtf+alerts indy which draws the actual data in real-time (that is, without step) directly from higher TF in the current lower TF chart, (that is, interms of actual curve or actual cross of the lines or sig.line zero-crossover, without stepping the previous bar data in current TF).

am asking this because the regular mtf indys drawing steps misleads a lot at hindsight, which is highly discouraging and backtest incompatible. And I trust indicator value plotted from a higher TF than from a lower TF;

do we have this indy which draws the TRUE past data, which make visual back-tests more accurate & trust-able.

if you already have this MTF indicator which draws the data without steps and without the refresh problem or backtest incompatibility already posted in the forum elsewhere, could you please post the link......

Thanks a ton.

Best Regards

Mony
