Can't run linux-based programs
Hello,
I can't run linux-based programs, and the link from www.rpm.org to acquire software to run rmp-files.
Can someone sent me the compiled version of Metatrader 4, and if possible an EA, but then I need to know if I can change the EA's (does MetaEditor work?)
Only if Meta-Editor works or if I can change the code of my EA, I would appreciate it if someone will send me the stuff..
I will pay him/her $5.00 through paypal once I have received the compiled version (if possible). I am willing to pay because if I have to pay for a windows-based vps-server I will have to pay 4-5 dollars extra per month
et_phonehome_2 said "do not use emulators" bla blah blah. Good thing Wine is not an emulator then.
Wine gives you the windows API. In theory the aplication can run faster than it does on windows.
As I said I can't open any rpm-files and unfortunately Wine is a .rpm file
Metatrader 4 and Linux
Hi
Is it possible at all to get Metatrader 4 to work on Linux? I'd much prefer running MT4 in a smoother and more secure environment where my virus checker doesn't decide to do a major update while I'm in the middle of closing several open positions.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like MT4 Linux.
is there MT4 for Mac ???????
Thanks

What distribution of linux do you use? Any distribution can use rpm's but chances are there is a special build for your distribution of linux.
Good evening traders,
I do not know if you saw this message with a mt4 which works on linux :
http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?iVersionId=2893&iTestingId=3128
What do you think about it?
BrunoFXYeah, why shouldnt it work on Linux? I just suggest all yall use the LATEST version of WINE.
Also, there is an article on how to run MT on Linux on the Russian part of the MQL4.com site: https://www.mql5.com/ru/articles/1433 (check the screenshots). It seems to be new, thus not yet translated. Well, hopefully they ll do it eventually.
I love

Just in case, the answer is YES. Use WINE, its a windows emulator for Linux.

If there is a Windows emulator for MAC, then yes. As far as I know there is Microsoft Virtual PC for MAC. You can get/ install it and then load a Windows image on it and then use MetaTrader.
And in general, I'm sure there is a way. Google owns

Thanks for the pointer to this thread from the one I started
I got MT4 (From North Finance) running here on Gentoo. Looks good, but it will not connect to the server unfortunately. Anyone else had a non connection problem?
