I'm not talking about the signal history but the strategy it self.
You didn't mention the word strategy but you did mention signal.

I never trust strategy tester result even if modeling quality is 99.9%.
Strategy tester has no slippage and you can narrow spread less than the real one.
Also there are many other factors can have high impact on the result. The most
important one is that historical history doesn't mean future will have the same influence.
Forward test is a MUST.
Currently using EA with less than 10% DD and almost doubles account size in a month. This is something to pay money for.
