It should not be down to me to discover the changes that have been introduced. Why is there no comprehensive documentation?
It's not a satisfactory answer to your question, but the comprehensive documentation is the MQL5 documentation at https://www.mql5.com/en/docs/strings
... apart from StringConcatenate(). According to the pop-up help in the IDE and its apparent behavior, it continues to behave like old-MT4 StringConcatenate() instead of like MT5 StringConcatenate().
Basically, they seem to have kept backward-compatibility for some string functions but not others.

...Sorry, ignore that. I assumed from your posts and angevoyageur's posts that StringTrimLeft() had changed. As far as I can see (v604), it hasn't, and it still returns a string rather than an int. I'm now not quite sure what you and angevoyaeur are talking about.

This is why the documentation desperately needs updating . . .
You bet it needs updating, it's a complete joke that MQ have released this product not giving a toss whether their functions are working correctly, we are dealing with real money, my EA has taken trades it should never have taken, because of bugs in the updated system, what a bunch of cowboys.

Please don't reject your responsibilities to others, nobody forced you to use a so bad program with real money.
If you need help, you can describe your actual problem.
