the agent don't know about mt4 but in my words i would say for a only mt4 installation it's not necessary

The real menace comes from his PC through the remote desktop... all other threats are low. If the computer running connecting to the the remote desktop is secured, then the risk is low.
On the other hand - if he is not sure, then installing the antivirus makes no harm to the VPS either. :)
