FXTM (forex time) redirectign to their site on mt4 demo account signup?

This is weird! I have downloaded different broker platforms and whenever I fill out an account with them (demo) and choose a server, I am redirected to the fxtm (forex time) site stating "thank you for registering here are your login details" - this must be spyware or some client jacking from them because I cannot see how IBFX, FINFX, platforms do this and it only seems to be me with this problem....

Anyone else had this happen?

 
Are you getting re-directed from within mt4 or from another website? You'll have to provide some good details here because mt4 usually doesn't open web-browsers and launch a website. Pictures might help.
 
Re-directed from within mt4. I have reported it to FinFx who have put the meta quotes in touch with me to investigate it further because I am in the process of signing up for one broker within mt4 and getting redirected to forex time who are denying they are doing anything wrong.
 
Could be a third party dll. Try disable dlls and test again (if you haven't already).
 
Download a new installation file, please.

Give us more details, please.

1) Did you upgrade to the build 500? Install again over the previous version and check again. We have checked from our side - everything is ok.

2) Did you download and use our MetaQuotes version of the installation from https://download.mql5.com/cdn/web/metaquotes.software.corp/mt4/mt4setup.exe ? It looks like you have installed our demo version as well.

The installer at https://download.mql5.com/cdn/web/metaquotes.software.corp/mt4/mt4setup.exe creates three values in the HKCU\Software\MetaQuotes Software area of the Registry:


RedirectCompany=ForexTime Ltd.

RedirectExpiration=1372636799   (June 30th)

RedirectURL=https://my.forextime.com/en/my_registration/registration_demo/?utm_campaign=mt4_download&utm_source=mt4_terminal


In some copies of MT4 this overrides the demo account signup (top bug!). Just delete these things from the Registry.

So it's a completely unrelated coincidence that gangsta1 has other copies of MT4 which also redirect to forextime? ROFL.
 

As I said this happens with multiple brokers and is happening on new and old builds. Thanks for the tip Bobbie, I will try to edit the registry.

EDIT- I found the 3 redirects in the registry and have removed them. If I download a mt4 from FinFx, that is the broker that I want to use, I do not want to have to remove the redirects everytime, we should not be redirected to another broker who do not even know why this is happening (so they say).
