Feedback on my EA 12 year backtest report please

H1 EURUSD FROM 2001 with 2% risk per trade. I am looking at the areas that need improving. Test has been confirmed with a tick test (EA uses open prices).

  • Don't use a %risk when backtesting, use a fixed lot, you can more easily see the weaknesses.
  • Run a backtest with "every tick", then show us the result.

725 trades in 12 years. That's on average less than 1 trade a week. Looking at the equity curve taking as example range around trades 400-450 you would be down. Now imagine Murphy being Murphy and those trades being the first 50 trades when you put your EA live. 50 trades = more than a year of trading and you would be in net loss. How much time you're planning to give your EA before you either re-optimize or cut it as not working? I suspect it would need at least few years to see if the EA is worth putting on any significant money - a no-go for me personally.
