Tester runs not to the end

Hi,

I want to test a strategy from 1.1.2008 till 1.1.2012.

The minute datas and also the upper timeframes are there for that time, but my strategy tester runs only for the first 6 month and so I have to split the testing time.

What's the reason?

This has been asked in the last few days,  use the search.
 

I don't think that the max size is 2GB, because my fxt-file is 8.02GB

I also enlarge my virtual memory but it doesn't work.

Your fxt file may be 8GB but only 2GB is being read and used.
 

OK, but I had no problems in former times and never realized a problem with that :-(

Is there any trick to do longer strategy tests?

It's probably simply down to the data you are using now.  If you aren't using tick data then the number synthetic ticks used will be dependant on the volume information contained within your data,  if the data you are using now has higher volume compared to the data you used previously then your fxt file will be bigger.  The only way I see to do a longer run is to compromise on the quality of your data,  not something I would want to do and probably you don't either.
