Hi. I keep on getting this message every time I try to sell my stock: Hedge is prohibited. Does anyone know why? I know nothing about this program can someone please help me? Thanks

Check with your broker

Maybe the broker is NFA regulated and you have some long positions open

You aren't confusing the "Sell" option with the "Close" option by any chance, are you?

"Sell" does not sell the existing long position you have open. "Sell" will open a new position, specifically a short position.

If you have an existing long trade open and you wish to sell (close out) that long position then you need to "close" the trade in question.
