Trend Tracer, Tup Indicator Question
Hi,
Has anyone looked at the trend tracer template for trading the EUR/USD 4hour and specifically the Tup indicator that goes with the template. I really like the indicator for EUR/USD 4hour, GBP/USD 4 hour and GBP/USD 15min and I would like to know if it is just a moving average or if it is a totally new indicator. I would like to set up an e-mail alert system that sends a text message to my phone when the Tup indicator changes from blue to red or vice versa. I don't know if there is a way to do this without the source code for the indicator or it would be easier if someone knows what the Tup indicator actually is. Thanks for any help with this matter.
I think this is the slope direction indicator with a period of 40.

It looks like that is the code. Do you know how to retrieve the value of the indicator in an EA. I tried using SlopetDirectionlLine[0] to get the value after I saved the mq4 file in the indicators folder but because it is not a indicator programmed into MetaTrader 4 it won't work. What is the easiest way --> Write it in as a function?
convert411 I have been using this indicator with a little bit of sucess as well. I understand your frustration, and you need for an alert as its a 4 hour chart.( we cant always be looking at the chart.) Do you know anyone who can write an EA for us?
Or even an indicator for alert?
