The DD is conform the % of risk.
In this case, I was using 10% of the capital...
If I use only 2% of the capital, then, the DD fall to 2%
bear,
Nice looking results. If I understand you correctly, the test results that you are showing are for a 9.5 year period? Is that correct?
Typically, scalping EAs make 500 trades per year, not 500 in 9.5 years.
Nevertheless, 49.5% annual ROI with a drawdown of only 13% is very nice :)
Your Profit Factor is excellent, and the win percent is right where you would expect a scalping program to be. I can see by the loss steps that the SL must be quite large, perhaps in the 200 pip range. I guessing the TP is in 12-16 pips range.
What are the TP and SL settings? Is the TP high enough to make a profit in live trading when you start encountering slippage?
As we all know all to well, fx trading is a stochastic "investment" model as opposed to a deterministic investment model. In other words, the results will fluctuate from year to year and from 10-year period to 10-year period. Several months ago I created a Trade Simulator in Excel to get a feel for how much things will fluctuate. Since you obtained 97.9% win percentage in a trial that had 573 events (ie trades) you can be 99% confident that the true winning percentage lies somewhere between 96% and 99%. Given the fact that your profit factor is over 4.0 I think you have zero chance of going broke (provided of course your TP is high enough to absorb slippage in live trading). What do your results look like when you decrease the TP by 2 pips?
Cheers!

Hi FxTrader!
Thank you for your opinion! It's very important to me.
Well, I'm using slippage 3, TP = 5 and Stop Loss == 36 pips
In the true, the system can do more than 500 pips in 9.5 years. But, I thought that is better do 1 trader per session.

Why limit your system when it produces those kinds of numbers.
The casinos live on a Profit Factor in the 1.05 to 1.10 range. What makes them so successful is the high iterations (ie bets) in there stochastic model. What you need is high iterations.
Slippage is ignored in backtesting and in demo mode. Therefore, run your EA with a TP=3 and see what kind of results you get. It will be dicey if the TP=5 when you go live, but if your broker gives you 2 pips of slippage of every trade find a new broker --- it's not like you are trading the news or trading large blocks of currency. In my opinion you should get slippage only once in a while if you happen to trade at the same time lots of other traders are seeking the same price, but if you get it regularly find a new broker --- and ECN broker.
Cheers

I can not publish my EA because it is comercial now. I have some clients :S
But, my EA is working now with EURCHF and EURGBP... See the results of the backtest.
Best regards,
Dan
Ahhh... today, my EA has DD 0.45 and Profit Factor > 8
See ya
can u post the result of latest 3.5 month ?
Bearnaked, you were supposed to develop a DLL to be able to share your EA. How is that coming along? Need a hand?

Hi brother.. I'm working a lot in the new version of the EA. Actually, the system is working very well and maybe in the future I'll need a hand to code a dll (in Delphi).
You can see the results here:
