Does anybody know whats the best platform, software for this trading strategy
Hi Guys,
I've been viewing this website and was wondering if you knew of any information or know of any type of trading software/platform which would help trade my system automatically.
I live in Australia, so find it hard having to stay up every night during the week to trade. At the moment my portfolio mainly consists of Futures (silver, gold, oil), commodities (wheat, soya, corn), indices (S&P, Dow and Aus200) and forex (Aus/Us & Eur/Us).
I have a basic trading system where by:
I receive an entry and exit point via Dan Gramza Report on a daily basis, I then place my buy and sell lines on my charting software and then enter my buy and sells as a stop on my market maker if the price passes through the buy line i will buy it, i'll then put in a stop loss a few points behind.
If the share price keeps going in the direction of my trade, ill take my
first exit (getting out half my position),,, once this happens I then
move my stop loss up to where i first entered the trade giving me a
break even opportunity.
Then the process starts all over again in the opposite direction,,,, but of course sometimes it takes a while to get on the trade specially during volatile times. And most of the time my market maker gets me in and out at the wrong prices.
Im trying to find a platform OR trading software that can work with a platform that will allow me to enter my buy and sell position lines in and then follow my trading system Automatically. I've been searching the web and I just seem to find platforms that can only automatically trade forex (metatrader etc). I downloaded MetaTrader 4 its good but only works with forex and i have to learn a whole other language just to automate pre made systems, maybe theres software i can add onto it.
Please help me, Do you know or know anybody who knows of any automated trading systems similar to what i'm talking about?, Is there such software out there that can do what im talking about ?

what format is your report in, from which source files they come from? do you want an EA that reads from files, process the info, and place orders?

Cheers for the info,,, Ubzen, you're right im going to have to get somebody to write an EA for me and help me from there, im willing to pay and learn at the same time.
Diostar,,,, i basically watch the market and once it hits the price i place a buy or sell depending. Im guessing im going to need an Ea that reads from files then places the orders. On a daily basis i need to be able to change the buy and sell positions. I Live in brisbane,,, I'd really like to meet up with a programer talk face to face bout what im trying to achieve and try see what the best plan of action is from there. I'll check out the jobs tab,,, but do you guys know anyone who'd be interested ? cheers for getting back to me i appreciate it

haha i wish, i actually have posted an Add for a MQL4 Ea programmer on GumTree. I dont know man, Im new to all this. Im guessing im going about it the wrong way... Help me out man. I just need a program, platform software, whatever it is to do the job. What would you do?

In summary,
1) How is the report formatted? ---> simplify info/signals, etc, into, preferably csv format using delimiter. Save in files.
2) Write an EA that reads directly this file to store data, place orders, etc.
Those, in summary, what I do.
The report is just a video webinar,,, i get told my buy and sell points,,,, i write them down and place them via a market maker using a stop order. Once the price hits its target i get out. Are you able to write an EA that can suite this way of trading?

1) what video webinar? if you want an EA to "listen" to a video & "get told", you can try Sony PlayStation technology. Maybe.

What do you write? Are they logical parameters or some cartoons from the webinar?
