Recommendations for setting.
Below I will show how I optimize EA "Zigzag Extremum points".
In this example I am using i_PointZigZag indicator.
i_PointZigZag - author's custom indicator. Installation in the terminal is required. To test the adviser, it is enough to install the demo version of the indicator.
Attention! After installing the indicator, check the installation location: MQL4 > Indicators > Market> Zigzag.ex4 point .
I choose the maximum initial deposit to avoid closing on margin call:
In the settings, I select the parameters that I want to optimize.
In this example, these will be the parameters:
Points (for i_PointZigZag) - in the optimization results, the parameter is called inp_point ;
TakeProfit (point) - in the optimization results, the parameter is called TakeProfSet . 
I choose the necessary parameters for testing 
I'm looking at the optimization results:
Maximum profit 
Maximum total of trades 
Maximum profit factor 
Minimum drawdown in dollars
