After a few weeks it is quite stable. Only some losses as I have used a higher lot and that caused a drawdown which got stopped with my drawdown protector. So that was my own mistake. Works fine during news events so you can just keep it running.

The EA worked fine for 2 months. There was a gold sell-off on Friday the 12.04.2024 where strategy 2 of the robot couldn't handle it, and it created a big loss on the account (from +18% in 2 months to -15% in a couple of hours). Please add some additional protection, which would stop trading after 3 or 4 consecutive losses in a day. Don't buy the version 1.9 of the bot until they will publish a new version, which will add additional protection methods!

So far the bot looks good in backtesting. Hopefully will be the same forward testing. Easy to install as it uses default setting.

The backtests look realistic, which suggests that this is a real long-term EA. I was interested in it because of the reviews of PETKO, which seems solid in its reviews. I will run it on a real account for 3 months with a small balance.

April 12, 2024, in a strong downtrend in XAUUSD, the EA kept opening buy positions and then closing them with stop losses, only to reopen buy positions again. With a risk of 1%, the account lost over 20% in just two hours. Even in the face of a strong reversal trend, the EA stubbornly assumed that the original trend would persist, continuously opening and closing positions with stop losses. It was terrifying. I learned a lesson again. I changed the settings. I added filter for max account trade = 1. I set Filter on news to true.

Looks promising. Robust back testing. Not martingale or grid. Ran live demo for one week, 6 trades 5 wins 0.75% up.

New updated version with drawdown protection functions. In the new updated version (v1.94) we’ve integrated variety of protections as follows:

1. Max daily loss (currency)
2. Max daily drawdown %
3. Min Equity (currency)
4. Max Equity drawdown %
5. Max Equity (currency)
6. Loss pause (hours)

The values of the protections can be edited in the EA inputs and also in the new Protection panel shown on the chart.
The default values (0.00) mean that the respective protection is not active.
Some traders need such protections in “Prop Firm” challenges.
We will refrain from recommending specific values. However Max daily drawdown %=4-6 shows reasonable results decreasing the drawdown and increasing the Recovery Factor in the last several months.
We are obliged to inform you, that using such protections could decrease the overall profit in long-term.
Each trader must decide for himself whether to use these protections and at what values.
