The MACD is not required to be present on the chart. However, if a standard MACD is attached, the divergence lines will be drawn both on the chart and in the indicator window, and the indicator will use the MACD settings.

It displays the current location in time relative to the beginning and end of the current bar. It additionally displays the proportion of time elapsed from the beginning of the bar as a percentage of the duration of the whole bar.
