Dear Coder

I need to create 16 technical indicators for VBA (Visual Basic Application) function usable in Excel.

Below is the list of the technical indicator I will need to have in VBA function.


1.  EMA: Exponential moving Average
2.  SMMA: Smoothned moving average
3.  LWMA: Linear weighed moving average
4.  MACD: MACD
5.  RSI: Relative Stength Index
6.  CCI: Commodity Channel Index
7.  Stoch: Stock Oscillator
8.  BBands : Bollinger Bands
9.  ATR: Average True Range
10. DEMA: double exponential moving average
11. TEMA: triple exponential moving average
12. ADX: Average Directional index
13. iADXWilder: Average Directional Movement Index by Welles Wilder
14. SAR: Parabolic Stop and Reverse system indicator
15. WPR: Larry Williams' Percent Range indicator
16. Stdev: Standard Deviation indicator


I have already written simple moving average in VBA function for your reference.

So I will offer the sample code to start with. Also guidance for code structure will be given before start.

  • No dirty data manipulation on spreadsheet is involved. 
  • No direct Excel spread sheet function usage is required.
  • No class involved.
  • No trading strategy involved.


You will only need to convert the calculation procedure for each technical indicator directly into tidy linear code.

There is absolutely no need to concern outside creating calculation procedure only.

You don't even need to think about how data is fed into calculation as you only need to use array with skeleton function. 

This is suitable project for some coder very knowledgeable how each technical indicator are calculated.


Plus all the coding guidance will be given.
