Hedged margin value in mt5

Hey:

in my broker account information I have hedged margin = 50% (500000) same thing in MT4 and MT5 .

But in mt4 terminal the hedged margin = 500000 it looks normal but in mt5 the hedged margin= 100000.

Are you comparing the same type of accounts?

And when I open a hedged position the margin is the same in MT4 and MT5.

it look like 50000 hedged margin value in MT4 = 100000 in MT5.

I found this in MT5 guide: If the value of 100,000 is specified in the "Hedged field", the margin for the two positions will be calculated as per 1 lot. ( For 1 lot buy and 1 lot sell hedged positions.)

This explains why you see 50,000 in MT4 and 100,000 in MT5 for the same hedged position - MT5 is showing the margin per lot, while MT4 is showing the total margin required.
