I think you are significantly wrong. People only discuss and do seemingly unnecessary things like "I do because I can" here. Such exercises allow you to discover new unexpected solutions, elegant twists, and finally just make you think sharper. Just don't ask me to give you a code example, as some people like to do in this thread))). And there is nothing particularly mind-boggling about it. To be cerebral you should read not this forum but something about convolution, metaprogramming and C++17 variant templates)))
