When the new Local agents are installed but just stay in Ready or Connecting that usually means you need to disable and enable the Cores on the PCs again. So go to Strategy Tester Agents Manager > Services and highlight them all and restart them on the offending computers. This kicks them back into gear for me.
Sometimes randomly they will stop working and I do this and they come back to life. Weird and annoying but its a quick fix.
