You don't need a "virtual chart."
The XY Problem - Set Maximum Bars in History to 99999999999999999999.
- Keep the chart open and create your own, or download history.
- If you don't have any history, here's how you can get all available from your broker.
- On MT4: Most brokers only have 32 or 65K bars of history per timeframe. That's 45 days of M1, 2.5 years on M15, etc.
- Quickly DL all available history from your broker: Problem loading historical data - MQL4 programming forum 2010.03.16

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if it's possible to save a virtual snapshot of a chart?
For example, say I want to save today's (September 8, 2020) 5-minute chart including all price and time data of every 5-minute candle, so that I'll be able to open up MT4 sometime in the year 2022 and
- browse around the chart
- move around the chart
- draw objects on the chart
- see all the trades I did
as if it was today?
Since most MT4 brokers delete their 5-minute data after a couple of months, saving a template with objects of today is no solution because in a couple of months, the broker won't have the 5-minute chart data of today. This isn't a problem for Daily (D1) charts, as most brokers have daily chart data reaching back many years.
Is there a way to manually save chart data and then have it displayed? That way, I could start to create a personal database of daily 5-minute charts.
Or any other solution?
