When I save an EA in the experts folder and try to backtest it via the strategy tester it does not appear as an option

hey guys as explained in the subject line my EAs dont appear as options to select for backtesting even though they are in the experts folder. the only options i see are the EAs which come with MT5 like ExpertMACD and the moving average example. ive tried everything from reinstalling the program to a variety of different save locations. what am i doing wrong???? thanks for your help
 
ok pretty sure i found the solution-- i had to exit out of MT5 via file --> exit and then reopen it before my new saves appeared. at least i did that once and now all my new saves appear as options for backtesting. is this true?
