Hi,
I would like to backtest a EA for the Nasdaq 100 e-mini futures contract. In mt4 i have only the last 3 weeks of 1 minute data. I would like to have data for the last few years though. If i buy third party historical data i get either the data for the individual contracts or an artificially joined continous contract. Now i would prefer to backtest on the individual contracts but i don't see how i could import data for expired contracts because these are not listed as a symbol in mt4 any more. So i can't select them in the history center to import the historical data. Is there a possibility to do that? If not, is it possible to import for example historical data of the last 5 years of the continous contract into a current futures contract and backtest as if this current contract had a expiration date of 5 years? If not is there any other way to backtest futures contracts over long time periods in MT4?
Thanks,
Hans
