IIRC it's been reported to have problems. That may only be on the same account. Create two separate installs just to be safe.
4xwatch states
The conflict detector runs on the background checking constantly if more than one instance of the same MetaTrader4 installation is running at the same time and interfering with each other
Yes you will need a MetaTrader program folder to launch each instance of Terminal
You can do one install and simply copy the folder to another name (if broker is the same for demo & live)

I guess, it should be no problem to have opened the MetaTrader-Terminal twice( same PC/RAM) and to use one Terminal to execute trades on a Demo acc(after acc login) --- and the other one to execute trades on a live acc(after acc login? Is this approach correct or are there any interferences or potential problems?
if any knows, thanks in advance
