We cant discuss individual brokers here :)
> how do (brokers) earn from us, via a spread?
All brokers may earn from spread &/or commision plus difference between rollover (aka swap) rates
Also, any market-making broker will profit if he has hedged any losing trade we make
Some brokers used to do that with me - they dont any more ;)
If a broker is a genuine no-dealing-desk, there is no profit this way for them
Unfortunately there is no regulatory definition of NDD (or the similar ECN), so there is wriggle-room for brokers there...
> How to know if the symbol() spread is a fixed spread or a variable spread?
Have to ask your broker - MT just knows the current spread, not whether it might change
Good Luck
